Product Description

The DragonStage 9.82x10.71m 90-Degree Modular Aluminum Stage Ramp is designed for temporary event stages that require a gradual access route but do not have enough space for one long straight ramp.

The system uses an L-shaped configuration with a 90-degree turning landing. One ramp run approaches the landing, changes direction, and then continues along the second ramp section toward the stage or ground level.

The overall footprint shown in the drawing is approximately:

32 ft 2⅝ in × 35 ft 1½ in
9.82m × 10.71m

The access surface is assembled from standard 4 × 4 ft / 1.22 × 1.22m modular deck sections, making the system easier to transport, assemble, replace, and reconfigure.

For other modular ramp configurations, see Typical Aluminum Ramp.

For matching temporary stage systems, see Stage Platform.

90-Degree Turn with Landing

The main feature of this ramp is the 90-degree change of direction.

Instead of requiring one long straight access route, the ramp turns at an intermediate landing.

The layout includes:

  • first inclined ramp run

  • intermediate turning landing

  • second ramp run

  • upper stage connection area

  • lower entry area

  • guardrails along both sides

This arrangement is useful when the available event space is wide enough for an L-shaped route but not long enough for one continuous straight ramp.

Standard 4 × 4 ft Modular Ramp Panels

Each standard ramp deck measures:

4 × 4 ft / approximately 1.22 × 1.22m

The repeated deck size allows the complete ramp to be built from modular sections rather than as one permanent structure.

These modules can be used to form:

  • inclined sections

  • turning areas

  • landing sections

  • transition areas

  • upper stage connections

The final deck quantity and support arrangement depend on the confirmed stage height and layout.

Dual-Side Guardrails

Guardrails are installed along both sides of the access route.

Confirmed guardrail height:

3.28 ft / 1.0m

The guardrails continue along the inclined ramp sections and turning areas, creating a defined access route from ground level to the stage.

Why Use a 90-Degree Ramp?

A straight ramp can require a large uninterrupted space in front of the stage.

A 90-degree configuration allows the access route to change direction and use the available event area more efficiently.

This layout is useful when:

  • front-stage space is limited

  • the ramp needs to approach from the side

  • seating or production equipment occupies part of the venue

  • audience circulation needs to remain open

  • the stage connection point is not directly in line with the ramp entrance

The main advantage is better use of the available site footprint.

Modular Aluminum Structure

The ramp is designed as a temporary modular event structure.

This provides practical advantages for:

  • transportation

  • compact storage

  • repeated installation

  • replacement of individual panels

  • future extension

  • layout adjustment

  • different stage configurations

The final number of panels, support legs, landing modules, and connection parts is determined by the confirmed project layout.

How to Confirm the Correct Ramp Configuration

Before production, please provide:

  • finished stage height

  • available site width

  • available site length

  • preferred ramp entrance position

  • stage connection position

  • intended users

  • whether wheeled equipment will use the ramp

  • required load

These details allow the final slope, support heights, deck quantities, and landing arrangement to be confirmed.

Important Product Note

The confirmed configuration includes:

  • overall footprint: 386⅝ in × 421½ in

  • metric footprint: approximately 9.82 × 10.71m

  • standard deck size: 4 × 4 ft / 1.22 × 1.22m

  • 90-degree / L-shaped configuration

  • intermediate landing

  • aluminum support structure

  • guardrails on both sides

  • guardrail height: 1m / 3.28ft

The final stage height, slope, allowable load, support arrangement, and connection details should be confirmed according to the actual project.

FAQ

What is the overall size of this ramp?
The overall footprint is approximately 386⅝ in × 421½ in, equal to approximately 32 ft 2⅝ in × 35 ft 1½ in, or about 9.82m × 10.71m.

What type of layout does this ramp use?
It uses a 90-degree / L-shaped layout with an intermediate turning landing.

What size is each standard ramp panel?
Each standard panel is 4 × 4 ft / approximately 1.22 × 1.22m.

How high are the guardrails?
The confirmed guardrail height is 1m / approximately 3.28ft.

Are guardrails installed on both sides?
Yes. Guardrails are installed along both sides of the ramp route.

Why use a 90-degree ramp instead of a straight ramp?
It allows the access route to change direction and fit better into an event site where one long straight path is not practical.

Can the ramp be used for wheelchair access?
Yes. The continuous inclined layout can be configured for wheelchair access according to the actual stage height and final ramp configuration.

Can equipment cases be moved along the ramp?
Yes, the ramp can also be configured for wheeled event equipment, subject to the required load being confirmed.

Can the ramp turn in the opposite direction?
Yes. The modular layout can be mirrored according to the stage position and site conditions.

Can the ramp length be customized?
Yes. The number of modular sections can be adjusted according to the required stage height and site layout.

Can the ramp be supplied together with a stage?
Yes. DragonStage can supply the ramp together with a complete Stage Platform system.

Why Choose DragonStage

DragonStage supplies complete temporary stage systems together with ramps, stairs, guardrails, and other Stage Accessories.

Because the ramp uses standard 1.22 × 1.22m modular deck sections, the final layout can be configured according to the actual stage height and available site space rather than relying on one fixed ramp arrangement.

Soft CTA
