What Does the Calculator Tell You?

The calculator provides a preliminary platform arrangement based on the dimensions entered.

A Quick Stage normally consists of an aluminum platform supported by four stage legs. The deck transfers its load directly through the legs to the ground.

Its component logic is relatively simple because each standard platform normally uses its own supporting legs.

How the Brace Stage Works

A Brace Stage uses stage decks, legs, adjustable feet and connecting braces to form an integrated supporting frame.

Unlike a Quick Stage, its supporting components are not calculated simply by multiplying the number of decks by four. Adjacent stage platforms may share legs, braces and connection points.

The exact component quantity depends on:

  • The number of deck rows;
  • The number of deck columns;
  • The direction in which the decks are installed;
  • The overall stage dimensions;
  • The stage height;
  • The brace length;
  • The edge and corner configuration;
  • Stair and guardrail positions.

This shared structural logic can reduce unnecessary duplicate support members while creating a more connected framework.

How the Ringlock Stage Works

A Ringlock Stage uses modular scaffold-type components to build the supporting structure beneath the stage surface.

Typical components include:

  • Horizontal ledgers;

  • Diagonal braces;
  • Adjustable base jacks;
  • Deck-supporting beams;
  • Stage decks;
  • Guardrails;

The component logic is similar to a structural grid. Adjacent bays share vertical standards and horizontal members. The quantity therefore depends on the number of bays, bay dimensions, structure height, lift spacing and bracing arrangement.

Ringlock Stage is not merely a deck with supporting legs. It is a modular temporary support framework that receives the stage deck system above it.
