In fact, there are 2 kinds of truss tower to hang speakers in our performance and event activities.
(A type tower)
(gentry tower)
the first one is to use A type tower, and the other one is to use gantry tower (goal post type). Due to their different structure, its ways of rigging to the trusses are different. namely fall into 2 kinds.
the first kind
steps:
put the winch or motor at the back of A type tower;
hook the truss front by winch wire though top section wheels
connect the other end of truss to hinge truss next to winch.
using the winch and motor hoist and rig up the truss as the picture as below.
the stress points are fall on the winch base post and truss top section.
to consolid the whole structure, it is to fasten fix the truss post with supporting rod.
the second kind
connect the horizental truss beam by spigot or screw to the sleeve block.
using motor and manual hoist to rig the truss beam by steel rope or chains.
steps:
using fibre sling to tie up the truss beam
hooking fibre sling another end to the hook of hoist
runing the motor or manual hoist to lift the beam truss as shown below
the stress point is only the top section
in case mechanism fault, we should insert a pipe through sleeve blaock and truss pillar.
