Product Information

Product Description

The DragonStage 9.82x8.26m 90-Degree Modular Aluminum Stage Ramp provides a continuous inclined access route between ground level and a temporary event stage.

The structure uses an L-shaped layout with an intermediate turning landing, allowing the ramp to change direction rather than occupying one long straight area.

The overall footprint shown in the drawing is approximately:

32 ft 2⅝ in × 27 ft 1¼ in
9.82m × 8.26m

The access surface is assembled from standard 4 × 4 ft / 1.22 × 1.22m modular panels, which makes the system suitable for repeated event installation, transportation, storage, and future reconfiguration.

For other ramp layouts, see Typical Aluminum Ramp.

For matching stage systems, see Stage Platform.

Designed for Wheelchair Access and Event Equipment Loading

This ramp can serve two common event-stage access needs.

For personnel access, it can provide a continuous route for:

• wheelchair users

• performers

• speakers

• event staff

• production crews

For equipment movement, it can provide an inclined route for suitable wheeled items such as:

• concert equipment cases

• lighting flight cases

• audio equipment carts

• cable cases

• small production trolleys

• other wheeled event equipment

The required load should be confirmed before the final support configuration is manufactured.

90-Degree Layout with Turning Landing

The ramp does not extend entirely in one direction.

Instead, the access route reaches an intermediate landing and then turns approximately 90 degrees.

This arrangement is useful when:

• the stage is surrounded by other event equipment

• a straight ramp would extend too far into the venue

• wheelchair and staff access needs to approach the stage from the side

• concert equipment needs to be moved through a dedicated access route

• audience circulation must remain separate from backstage access

The turning landing also creates a defined transition area between the two ramp runs.

Standard 4 × 4 ft Modular Ramp Decks

Each standard deck module measures:

4 × 4 ft / approximately 1.22 × 1.22m

The same modular panel format can be used to create:

• inclined ramp sections

• turning landings

• upper platform transitions

• lower entrance sections

Because the ramp is assembled from repeatable modules, damaged or changed sections can be handled individually rather than replacing the complete structure.

Dual-Side Guardrails

Guardrails are installed along both sides of the ramp access route.

Confirmed guardrail height:

3.28 ft / 1.0m

The guardrails continue along the inclined sections and turning areas to provide a clearly defined route for users and equipment.

Why This Ramp Is Useful for Concert Equipment Loading

Concert and event stages often require repeated movement of equipment between ground level and the platform.

Using stairs for wheeled cases is impractical.

A ramp allows suitable equipment to remain on wheels during movement, which can simplify the handling of:

• lighting cases

• speaker accessories

• cables

• control equipment

• small production hardware

The actual allowable equipment weight depends on the confirmed structural configuration and required load.

Why Use a 90-Degree Ramp Instead of a Straight Ramp?

A straight ramp is simple, but it may require too much uninterrupted floor space.

An L-shaped ramp uses two directions, which can make better use of the area beside or behind the stage.

This is especially useful for:

• concert backstage areas

• festival stages

• exhibition platforms

• corporate-event stages

• temporary production areas

The main benefit is better integration with the event-site layout.

Modular Aluminum Structure

The ramp is designed as a temporary modular event-access system.

This makes it practical for:

• repeated setup and dismantling

• transportation

• storage

• individual panel replacement

• different stage layouts

• future extension

• adjustment for different platform heights

The final number of deck panels, support legs, landing modules, and connection parts is determined according to the confirmed project layout.

How to Confirm the Correct Ramp Configuration

Before production, please provide:

• finished stage height

• available ground length

• available ground width

• ramp entrance position

• stage connection position

• whether the main use is wheelchair access, equipment loading, or both

• equipment type

• required load

These details allow DragonStage to confirm the final slope, deck quantity, support height, and structural arrangement.

Important Product Note

The confirmed product information includes:

• overall dimensions: 386⅝ in × 325¼ in

• metric dimensions: approximately 9.82 × 8.26m

• standard deck size: 4 × 4 ft / 1.22 × 1.22m

• 90-degree / L-shaped layout

• intermediate turning landing

• aluminum structure

• guardrails on both sides

• guardrail height: 1m / 3.28ft

The final stage height, slope, allowable load, support configuration, and stage connection should be confirmed according to the actual project.

FAQ

What is the overall size of this ramp?
The overall footprint is approximately 386⅝ in × 325¼ in, equal to about 32 ft 2⅝ in × 27 ft 1¼ in, or approximately 9.82m × 8.26m.

What is this ramp mainly used for?
It can be used for wheelchair stage access, performer and staff access, and movement of suitable wheeled concert or event equipment.

What type of layout does the ramp use?
It uses a 90-degree / L-shaped layout with an intermediate turning landing.

What size is each standard deck panel?
Each standard panel is 4 × 4 ft / approximately 1.22 × 1.22m.

How high are the guardrails?
The guardrails are 1m / approximately 3.28ft high.

Are guardrails installed on both sides?
Yes. Both sides of the access route are equipped with guardrails.

Can wheelchairs use the ramp?
Yes. The continuous ramp layout can be configured for wheelchair stage access according to the actual stage height and final configuration.

Can flight cases and concert equipment be moved on the ramp?
Yes, it can be configured as an access route for suitable wheeled production equipment. The required equipment weight should be provided before the final ramp structure is confirmed.

Why is the ramp L-shaped?
The 90-degree layout helps the ramp fit into event sites where a long straight route would interfere with audience space, backstage equipment, or other production areas.

Can the layout be mirrored?
Yes. The ramp can be configured to turn in the opposite direction according to the actual stage location.

Can the size be customized?
Yes. Overall length, stage connection height, deck quantity, landing arrangement, and access direction can be customized.

Can DragonStage supply the stage together with the ramp?
Yes. The ramp can be supplied together with a complete Stage Platform system.

Why Choose DragonStage

DragonStage supplies complete temporary stages together with ramps, stairs, guardrails, and other Stage Accessories.

For an event loading ramp, the intended use matters as much as the overall dimensions.

A wheelchair-access route, a performer-access ramp, and a concert-equipment loading route may use a similar modular concept, but the required load and final support configuration can be different.
